Technology policy refers to the guidelines within which the governments in the respective nations can have control over the development and incorporation of technologies. These regulations, in terms of technology policy, comprise various policies, laws, programs and rules created with an intention of fostering technological advancements within society without hurting individuals’ welfare and values, which has brought in this crucial piece of legislation like DPDP to India for ensuring proper technological implementation without harming citizens.


The DPDP Act focuses on the protection of personal data, responsible use of data, and trust in digital ecosystems. However, with the integration of technology into daily life, there is a need for careful regulation at the intersection of fundamental human rights such as privacy, freedom of expression, and digital equity. This analysis will explore these intersections while incorporating narratives that illustrate the human impact of such policies.
